The Alpha Communications® RY008AE 8-Output Signal Relay Boards are used to provide 8 timed relays to be triggered by our AlphaEntry™ software, running on a Windows based PC. The primary use is for an entry intercom (or video-intercom) system, with a PC-based graphical directory and calling system. Multiple RY008AE boards can be used on each AlphaEntry™ system, and can be intermixed with the RY032AE 32-relay boards as well. Each relay comes factory set as Normally Open (NO), but can individually be changed to Normally Closed (NC) by moving a simple jumper adjacent to each relay. The RY008AE boards are powered from a 5VDC, 2A plug-in power supply (model KE-PWR5/2A). The first RY008AE board connects to the PC using a model# CT032AE6 connector cable (as extender cable as required).
Each of the 8 relays have a diagnostic LED that will light as long as the associated relay is activated.
The RY008AE relay boards are designed to easily surface mount right onto the finished wall (or wooden mounting board) by means of screw mounting on top of plastic stand-offs (provided). Relay connections are positive screw terminal type, using barrier type terminal connector strips.
